Jobs aren't going away because AI is not raising productivity. Between hallucinations and blind mistakes, AI has to have human tenders to fix its garbage output. The humans are still employed, but instead of doing the creative work, they are demoted to butt-wipers for the leaky-streaky AI. The AI "boom" is all the companies spending money building infrastructure for an AI future that isn't coming. Hopefully as the Fear Of Missing Out wears off, and companies rsalize AI is not improving profits, they will dump it. I have a vision for 5 years out, where giant data centers are switched off and are holding yard sales where you can buy high end Dell servers for a dollar a pound.

By the time you are 65, assisted suicide will be mandatory. Just like Canada we will discover that the only way to afford "free" healthcare is to kill the patients. One of the many joys of socialism. But don't worry, AI will keep you company and explain how pointless your life was as the lights go out.

That image profound in it's simplicity. There are thousands and thousands of amorphous blobs of rock, ice and dust like this flying around the solar system. It is only a matter of time before one of significant size hits the earth. We need a planetary defense system, now. That we still do not have one almost 70 years after humans first put objects in space is, IMHO, evidence that reptilian aliens control our government. Or maybe just really dim-witted humans.

The speed of light prevents aliens from reaching us. Tell us how they overcame that or your story is just imaginary. And remember, "Zero point energy" or "They're from another dimension" are proof that your story is bogus.

Pssst -here's the secret they are hiding. There ARE NO aliens. No crashed UFOs, no ETs. But nobody can MAKE MONEY by telling us the speed of light keeps aliens from reaching us. There have been dozens of alien contact movies since "Close Encounters" and the subject has been done to death. If aliens have contacted humans the VERY FIRST question any scientific person would ask is "How did you get here, how did you exceed the speed of light?" I am sick to the point of vomitting of these poofy stories of aliens who come to tell us we need more group hugs. It is time for real scientists to stop pandering to the mentally ill and indulging their fairy stories. Show me a phaser, show me a transporter, show me a warp drive, or even some alien DNA. If you ain't got that, it's just wishful science fiction.

Don't try to blame Microsoft's predatory practices on the current administration. They have been this evil for forty years. Remember when Wordperfect was the defacto word processor. sMegrosoft copied them, then sabotaged their software with undocumented API changes that put them out of business ( Windows ain't done till Wordperfect won't run). Or remember when Lotus 123 was the original spreadsheet software, but suffered a similar fate? sMegrosoft has more lawyers than engineers, and very deep pockets.

Remember in the old days of keyboards how you had to make up your own lies for why you couldn't meet your boss's insane demands. Now with Solara, AI will make up and write the lies for you. And since the lies will be read by your boss's own AI without human involvement there is very little chance of exposure. AI talking autonomously to AI will generate an ever expanding database of false information built on top of previous false information, till communication becomes impossible and the company grinds to a halt. You'll realize I'm prescient when it happens.

Astrophysicists are looking for dark matter because there does not appear to be enough normal matter to generate the gravity needed to spin galaxies the way they are spinning, or to hold the universe together. What if we didn't need dark matter. Maybe there's an alternate solution. One so simple it will make people do face-palms. Think of the typical diagram of warped space time around a planet. Like a bowling ball stretching a rubber sheet. A bug travelling on the rubber sheet will travel towards the bowling ball even though it thinks it is going straight because the sheet is curved in the time dimension. This has been confirmed because if we synchronize two clocks on earth , then put one in orbit, the one on earth records time more slowly. Think about that. The "gravity" well shows displacement in time. But a clock placed in that well shows time flowing more slowly... So the net time displacent should be growing. The well should be getting deeper. Ergo gravity increases over time. Since most of the stars in the galaxy are billions of years old than the sun, they could have 2 or 3 times the gravity. No dark matter needed.

Knock it off. Their are dozens of studies going back to the 1970s showing nutrient depletion in crops due to poor soil management. Bullying people into accepting the outrageous lies of the climate doomers just makes everyone realize how fake most of climate pseudoscience really is. Climate loons are worse than the Nazis.

Thos phenomenon is not new. It has been documented since the 1970s and it has nothing to do with the global warming boogeyman. Just because two things are correlated in time, doesn't mean there is a causal link. The depletion of nutrients in crops is due to soil depletion. Modern farming methods use the soil as a holding tank for commercial fetilizer. The ground is never allowed to lie fallow, or enriched with decaying organic matter. It can be fixed with healthier farming techniques, without the climate doomers using it as another doom fetish plaything.

Remember folks, use wisdom. When you read an article trashing nuclear power, it is rarely motivated by concern over your welfare. It is usually folks making big money off of wind and solar, trying to knock out a competitor that is very likely to bankrupt them in fair competition.
