I always said "Play with LEGO" or "LEGO pieces". LEGO is an abbreviation of the two danish words "Leg Godt". It stands for "Play Well". It also means "I put together" in latin, something they didn't know when adopting the name. For having a name and product that is supposed to stimulate creativity and play, it's quite ironic if they also want to control peoples way of using the name. In my experience, four letter words are practically made for getting creative with.
