Submission + - Computer cases for laptops to power status screens?

Smuffe writes: In our office we have about 5-10 old laptops used to power status screens with different numbers. They're mostly just lying on the floor, so we thought about gettings some cases for them or doing some other creative stuff, like putting them in a flowerpot or something. Anyone has any inspirational images from around their office to share regarding this stuff?

Smuffe writes: Our small start-up has decided to give one lucky customer an iPad. What would be a good way to draw the winning persons name? If it matters at all, we use MySQL for a db backend, but would prefer something with a bit more flare than just getting a random number between 1 and the number of rows. Preferably something that can be youtubed. Obviously we thought the best place to ask is Slashdot.
