Relaize how much OSS is used in commercial software already.
IBM Web Server is Apache.
Most commercial Java apps have over 50% OSS code in imported libraries.
I've never been canoeing before, but I imagine there must be just a few simple heuristics you have to remember... Yes, don't fall out, and don't hit rocks.
