Wow, postgrey just got rid of 99% of my spam, before it gets to spamassassin, and with no false positives (any standards-compliant mailers can get through it). I should have done this ages ago.

I run things through Spamdyke, which integrates nicely with Qmail and does a few other nice things (authentication, SSL handling and some other filtering) without significant overhead. I must admit, I was shocked at the difference it made: I'd expected it to filter out a few of the dimmer or lazier spammers, but it's been far more effective than that. I'd also expected spammers to adapt relatively quickly and start doing a second pass on their spam lists, but that hasn't happened yet either!
