I took the test, but I had no idea how to tell the system when the letter was indecipherable and just looked like a box, at which point I just had to guess. I think the test could have been more accurate, or at least more enjoyable to take, if it had a button for "I can't tell."

Is it just me or does that phrasing suggest that something that happens to look like an explosion of some kind could actually ever be something else entirely?

A short video of surveillance footage posted on Chinese social media site Weibo (WB) showed white smoke emerging from what looks like a white Tesla car parked at a lot in Shanghai. After a few seconds, the electric vehicle bursts into flames and the clip ends soon afterward.

Can someone explain to me how what that footage caught is not *actually* an explosion? What else can it possibly be?

The video jumps directly from 19 to 20 seconds and they hold the 20 second frame for a couple of seconds, I’m guessing, to make it look way more dramatic. That little edit makes the entire incident questionable.

Humans don't have a language. They have the capacity for language. That's why there are so many independent languages. So, why should anyone believe there's a Dog Language or a Cat Language?

Elliott's Hardware store offered George W. Bush a position as a greeter in an open letter in a Dallas newspaper last month. Bush walked in the store on Saturday and said, "I'm looking for a job." Andrea Bond, a manager at the store, said president Bush spent about an hour with his secret service security detail shopping and talking to customers during the surprise visit. Despite having a lot of free time, the former president turned the job down. I'm sure W would make a great hardware store employee as long as Karl Rove worked in the aisle next to him.
