Comment Annoying IA but easy to dismiss (Score 0) 39

Recently (november) bought a LG TV for Christmas, a 2025 model, and it has "AI" everywhere, as every "smart" and "learning from your tastes" feature from the TV, as adaptative image quality, scaling, room sound modeling ,content suggestions etc is now "AI". It's the current marketing buzzword. It also features the infamous "Copilot" icon on the apps bar. But you can disable all or most the "AI" and "learning" features digging into config and even the ADs dissapears, (rendering half of your menu screen unusable). And you can bury the icon at the end of the app bar (that is linear) and never see it if preferred. Is the enshitening you must bear with in these times. With a previous LG TV model I used some DNS and HTTPs server in a creative way to convert those in-menu ads to family information for some time.

We have plenty of spare blue collar workers left by buildind construction crisis who will be glad to recycle. Also lots of people in turism industry we need to diversify. And our IT engineering industry is known for been good quality and unexpensive, giving us part in many international infastructure proyects. I dont't think that'll be the problem. And our goberments have spent before billions on real bullshit, so surely whatever it ends will be much more productive for the country than other politics. I only hope they know how to manage it.
