Inside Microsoft's New Flight Simulator

ShoulderOfOrion writes: A pilot and former Microsoft employee who worked on the old Flight Simulator, and now works as an editor for the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association), recently got a first peek at the new Flight Simulator program Microsoft is looking to launch in 2020. Petabytes of scenery with details down to 3 cm per pixel, a new lighting engine for landscape and clouds (even rainbows), and a much more realistic flight model are among the many new features.
