Short Circuit's Journal: At the bro's house

Well, we reached our destination a little over a week ago, and got internet access on the 10th. DSL, 7Mb/s down, 896Kb/s up. Life is good.

I ran apt-spy to see if I could find a mirror that could keep up with my connection, and set sbeta, my new laptop (thanks bro), up to get packages from the server apt-spy decided on. Well, the ISP must have noticed, because mirrors.scu.edu now has an IP address of 1.0.0.0, if you believe the DNS from QWEST.

Well, I'm heading back to Michigan via Amtrak next week.

In other news, I'm eating less(food is somewhat less convenient), exercising more(building an entertainment center), and most likely losing weight. Despite keeping the car windows rolled up, my left arm has a real good tan from driving somewhere between 1500-2000 miles. Turned out that I enjoyed long driving spells a lot, so I did most of it.
