Do you have a couple of brain cells to rub together? I'm not being sarcastic here, but the reason Farscape is worth your time is that it doesn't "dumb down' for it's audience- it makes you think, and feel, and laugh, and surprises you- just when you think that you know what the plot is going to be-like every Star Trek episode- it does something entirely different and logical. It's visually beautiful, the music is magnificent, and the acting is superb. And they tell wonderful stories. And it has some of the hottest actors and actresses ever. Farscape is watched by a lot of people that aren't into watching TV. It's also watched socially, with get togethers and long discussions about plot points, science, and philosophy- remember the early days of X-files? Another reason to watch this show is that Scifi shafted its fans royally. They made a big deal about an unprecedented two season deal a year ago (with an unadvertised out clause) and then proceeded to have a seven month hiatus with no reruns and delayed the return of the show for two months without advertising, causing a lot of viewers to think it was already gone. Then , when the ratings declined slightly, and their newly bought Sg-1 did better, they axed it without warning. Scifi has consistently axed their second highest show, even when the ratings were good, then developed new programming to be axed. So watch it for all those people who trusted Scifi that it was safe for two years when it wasn't, and then had their letters, emails, telegraphs, and faxes ignored. If you have a box, you have the power that most of the viewers don't- you can be heard. watch Kansas, the episode showing at 8 Pm ET this Friday. I guarantee that even if you have never seen an ep before you will find yourself identifying with the lost astronaut attempting to find his way home- and you'll laugh your eema off. thanks for listening .;)
