I would add some soup base, like bonito (fish), but chicken or veggie would work too. Also a little soy sauce.
I use wakame instead of nori, and I usually leave out the tofu, because it doesn't add enough flavor to be worth the effort.
Finally, save the green onions, and sprinkle them on top at serving time.
The only tricky part is getting the amount of miso right, but if you've tasted miso soup (and like it), it's pretty easy to taste the soup and adjust the amount.
