We tried to figure out if your money was used, but the tax allocation software contains this piece of code that references a table whose values determine where each individual tax payers money goes. However, we can't figure out how the table was populated, so we can't give a definitive answer. Given the amount of money the government takes in, you probably don't have to worry that your specific dollars were used to pay for this research (if any public money was used - we'd like to tell you for sure, but we just ran into another undecipherable table). We find you'll feel better if you just imagine that all of your tax dollars are going to some project you do like.
