Comment Sympathy? (Score 2) 404

You know, the attitude surrounding Gizmodo and the people involved in this is trying to make Apple look like the bad guy. But if anyone has read Gizmodo's comments this past week or so, it's easy to see that the damage has already been done. The site has lost a lot of reputation among people, and Gizmodo's handling of this has been pretty disgraceful. http://apple.slashdot.org/story/10/04/26/2048228/Police-Seize-Computers-From-Gizmodo-Editor?from=rss The phrasing in this article by Gawker was just way too pretentious. They deserve repentance.

Comment Why bother? (Score 1) 443

Seriously, if this kind of DRM can get broken so easily anyway, why invest all of the money into making it? Couldn't that money be used for something better? What they should be doing is just going back to classic old CD keys. 90% of the people are still going to be buying the game anyway, you'll always have a minority who pirate and find a way around the system. So why constantly throw money at trying to stop that 10% when older, laxer systems are just as effective AND have the added bonus of not pissing the customer off?

Comment Human speed? (Score 1) 92

So is there really any instance of a human being able to beat a robot at repetitive tasks? I mean, isn't the whole point of a manufacturing robot supposed to be to speed up the process? Can a human do any manufacturing process better?
