I've had my EV going on two years now. I charge at home overnight when needed. Always have enough charge during my day, except in long trips. I no longer worry about how much 'gas' I have... 1/4 tank, 1/2 tank. No longer have to change course to go to a gas station. No longer worry about which place has the best gas, best price. I just drive home, pull into the garage, plug in my cord.

Gift cards have two stages. A $20 card is minted with zero value. Stealing it from the store is useless. They are actually worthless until you buy then with real money - it's backed by real currency. A erc token coin is minted by the owner / company when minted. It's added to circulation, and its value is assumed to be 20$ immediately. Where as a gift card needs to be loaded with real currency, a stable coin 'should' go through the same process, but we have to *trust* the company isn't just minting coins without backing funds. Would I trust Amazon? Yes Would I trust Walmart? Probably Would I trust Trump stable coin? Nope

They don't, but there's advantages to leveraging a system that works, is audited, and trustworthy. I could make my own coin, call it as stable, and simply not have the assets behind the scenes. Last time I checked Tether I remember questions about whether they had the funds backing it. Remember the stable coin TerraUSD / Luna?

If they want to reduce fees, just accept USDC and be done. Issuing your own coin is fraud unless you have enough capital and transparency to prove otherwise.

I'm on the left, but honestly, don't give a rat's ass about girls in boys sports. I don't think many genuinely care. While I'm Bitcoin is used as a digital currency it's value is more aligned with a speculative asset. People have a difficult time separating the two concepts... Correlation between Bitcoin and NASDAQ equities is .6 to .7. Correlation between Bitcoin and Gold is closer to .1. Those thinking Bitcoins value increases like Gold aren't looking at this correlation. It's more likely to follow the NASDAQ... NASDAQ is overvalued and has been selling off since last year. Gold is making new highs.

I completely agree. I honestly can't believe more people aren't pointing this out. GameStop is essentially turning it's company into a trading desk. No legit companies should be mixing their core business and trading crypto. We established rules separating banks from investment banks for this reason. Now greed has taken over - Microstrategy is the perfect example - they'll be the one to watch when crypto turns down again, the crypto equivalent of Enron. I guess if you can't make a profitable business, go to Vegas with the company funds.

Most people already have at least one home charger. You take the supplied 110V car charger device, find the "plug" at the end of the cord, and insert it firmly into an "electrical socket." Astonishingly, it's similar to how people charge their phones every day. I've had my EV for over a year and only use a 110V plug in my garage. If you commute a lot and need L2, then spend the money and upgrade — it's cheaper than paying for gas for a year and a one-time cost.

I'm growing tired of all the back-and-forth articles every week. One week, it's EV sales down 40%, and the next week, it's articles like this. It's simple... EV cars will continue to gain traction to the point where they have a justified market share. Nobody knows what that will be, and it's not worth debating daily or weekly. EV cars are here to stay, making excellent sense for some like me. ICE cars are here to stay and make great sense for more people currently.
