Comment Re:Advertising, on college campus? (Score 1) 251

My, my, my, a bit nostalgic for the UGOD's (unadulterated good old days.) The commercialism of academia started long ago, to my recollection with the USF&G Sugar Bowl. No matter. It is a growing fact of life that advertisements intrude into more and more aspects of life. I'm willing to bet the campus net access is free, (actually covered by student fees, which you have to pay anyway.) This accurately mimics many other aspects of life. You COULD get free health care by going to the county hospital and declaring yourself indignet, but you really wouldn't want the kind of care you would get. You could use the "free but with scads of ads" internet portals, but I wouldn't want to. All in all, you should relax, the rotting corpse of the dead sacred cow of commercial free academia with fertilize your sacred grove.
