From personal experience: one employer offered a 5x8 week for better "work/life balance".
My local manager saw that and said, essentially, "oh, so you can work 8hr days. We need you in on Saturday too."

I mean... I see what you're saying and agree with the problem of some management mentality, but I don't know that I completely agree with this conclusion. A manager will get as much out of an employee as the employee will allow. The form of the work week doesn't make a boss better/worse.

This is well stated. And for those that think that it's vindictive on Google's part, well... you're not wrong, but it's the consequence of releasing outside the ecosystem that would automatically deploy the update to the install base.

I think a lot of people are failing to realize that the 30% cut isn't just to make Google money, but also to fund the infrastructure to host and deploy apps according to their own best practices.

Maybe the real dumbass is the guy who can't fully parse through sentences before launching into his pedantic ranting?

Gas taxes pay for infrastructure, it's done that way because it can be. If electric makes that unrealistic then it will be done another way (and that would be a great problem to have).

I like this perspective. However, I don't know that I have a lot of faith that the government cogs will spin quickly enough to keep up with the changing market.

There is definitely room for some swing in those figures, but I agree with the outcome. Thanks for the input.

Generally speaking, I'm a proponent for electric vehicles. But the general public simply isn't going to adopt until the cost of switching is less than the cost of remaining in a gas powered vehicle.

Here's what I'm curious about: Assuming the normal sales tax rate is applied to the electricity sold by these charging stations, is the state making more or less money than the taxes on gas?

I'm guessing less, but I have no idea where to even begin nailing down some of those variables.

While it's true that G-Suite's current alias (nickname) feature is exactly what he's describing, what I think he means is that G-Suite does not have a simple method for creating either a distribution list or a shared mailbox.

If I recall correctly, the Groups product was adapted to fill this hole in the Gmail functionality when Google Apps for Business was created. Unfortunately it was never really brought up to feature parity with what an exchange admin expects to be able to do.

I have heard that in the US, there are workplaces that wlll not hire you if you don't have an active facebook.

No employer in America would decide against hiring you because you don't have an active facebook account.

However, you might not be the "right fit" for the company.
