Things I've done relating to music in the last 5 years:
Stopped buying popular cds, too costly.
Bought a truck with no cd player after I wrecked the car with a cd player.
Then I turned the radio station to some decent stations - mainly the 4 or 5 Jazz stations in my area.
Bought a few of said artists cds because I enjoy their efforts.
Don't have a "personal music player".
Don't buy emusic for said personal music player.
Don't listen to music at work.
Don't give a shit about plummeting sales "due to piracy" A.K.A. "our marketing model bubble went to shit because people are sick of it and its costs so they turned to other avenues"
Limit Television watching to educational/informational/sports/weather/news(whic h is propaganda anymore) and the occasional sampling of the pop market to remind me why I don't watch it.
Have money to enjoy the very few movies (1-3 a year) where the previews tell me enough of what the movie is about.
Have money to do other various hobbies and meet some new friends.
