What does the cost matter when the transponder was cut off or suddenly lost power? If someone disabled the device, the same would have happened to whatever device they install. How much data can a computer transmit when it is turned off, broken, or disabled?

Don't have a problem with your explanation except for the part about generating electricity with radiation. When the neutron hits an atom within the uranium and splits it, energy is released as both radiation and heat. The heat from the process is used to produce steam which is used to spin turbines, etc... The radiation part is useless except to make gophers glow and help you grow an extra arm or eye, if you are into that sort of thing.

Oh, since you know a great deal about networks then you of course realize that the majority of enterprise class network vendors still require a serial connection to do the initial configuration on their equipment? Oh, lets not forget about the SANs, tape librarys, fibre channel switches, the heat sensor arrays, industrial equipment... the list of equipment that still uses a serial port for configuration or data transfer goes on and on. I work with this equipment on a daily basis, there are at least a dozen other people here at the small plant I work at that use serial connections all the time to do their job. Lets not forget, computers are not just meant to surf the web and look at porn. And HDMI over DVI? Why do I want to send an audio signal to my monitor? Are you suggesting that we move the audio connection to the monitor, wouldn't that just confuse things?

Come on, seriously. Why would you have to have to stick with "unschooling" above classroom schooling? Isn't the concept of "unschooling" just to encourage your kids to learn in every way they can? Why is this even a discussion? If you are not encouraging your children to ask questions and stoking their curiosity on a day-to-day basis, you are not doing your job as a parent.
