Comment I once got into a fist fight with Gates (Score 1) 176

well almost, his security guard held me back. He basically killed my first startup.

That said, vaccinating half the worlds children is a fair trade for all the ultimately unimportant financial evil. Living, healthy children trumps money unless you are a psychopath.
As far as affairs, that is between him and his wife. I'll just say that all the holier than thou commenters here don't have the same temptations as Gates. Talk when you do.
Epstein connection is disturbing but lets not lynch anyone without proof.

Oh and 3/4 of you people wouldn't have tech jobs without Gates and Microsoft creating the business.
You all are an ungrateful lot.

Don't call unless the place is on fire.

Also don't make changes on a Friday or in the afternoon. Plan and test properly and you don't need to mess up peoples off time. I've managed 100s of employees. Not one had a reason to complain. 99.99% uptime for the last 5 years. You do it right and it all can get done in regular working hours or you just push it until the next morning.

Agile is part of the problem. Constantly pushing out "improvements" means you can't test properly. So something breaks and you get that 2 am call.
