40 years ago it was an earth wrecking ice age coming our way - and proven by science. 18,000 years ago a mile thick chunk of ice that covered all of Canada and much of the northern U.S. - I LIKE warm, much better, thanks to all who have helped warm the planet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?... Clear cutting is likely the best answer especially if you don't think Global Warming is a hoax. A zig-zag pattern would be visible from the air, but not too noticeable from ground level. This year alone, California will put more CO2 in the atmosphere than all of our cars and coal plants combined. The feds insisting that fed land fires be allowed to burn out is dirt dumb. Zig-zag clear cutting would not need to cost a dime. Sell the trees from the feld area and make money, lumber would get cheaper and we wouldn't have to import most of our forest products from Canada.

I wonder if students think they're in a real science field when their degrees read "Social Science"?

If I remember correctly, Dr. John P. A. Ioannidis (yo-need-ees), a Professor of Medicine and Health Research and Policy at Stanford University School of Medicine and a Professor of Statistics at Stanford University School of Humanities and Sciences. He reports that 99% of medical research is hog-wash, and that everything stated in any given "study" is proven wrong within 15 years. He went on to state that the quality of researchers has fallen dramatically over the last 70 years, and that "studies" must have scary outcomes to get published and future funding.

Not all of the banks who received TARP money have repaid the loans. ... But, the fact remains, due to interest, dividends and other revenue streams, the government has received more money back ($266.7 billion, according to the Treasury) than it handed out to banks under the bailout law ($245.2 billion).Oct 25, 2012 . GM repaid the loan portion of the automaker bailout ahead of schedule, with interest. It used TARP money it had already received but hadn’t spent. And taxpayers are still stuck with GM stock that isn’t worth what was paid for it. And regarding military spending, would you prefer speaking Japanese or German today?

If Earth had 8 billion people, all could float on Lake Ontario in a 40 sq ft area of their own. They could all own the water below them - that's a column of water 40 sq ft and 280 feet deep. Then realize that ALL the water in lake Ontario is replaced every 5.5 years (drains to the Atlantic) and that's just one Great Lake. As for the other resources, what becomes of them? Does the gold turn into tin? Does iron turn into smoke? Does an alchemist magically turn our resources into thin air? Does no one remember the Julian Simon and Paul Ehrlich wager?
