I completely agree with you. Millions of animals are put to sleep each year in shelters. Many of these animals come from irresponsibly breeders that do not see the value of life, but rather only care about making a quick buck. They could care less about what happens to the animals once they are sold.

When cloning becomes commercially viable on a larger scale, what is to stop unethical companies from producing more than just 1 clone? After all, it is more "efficient" to have the surrogate produce a litter of 6 pups. This brings the puppy mill industry to a whole new level.

FYI, the company is charging $180,000 to have a dog cloned. http://bestfriendsagain.com/order/index.html

The way I see it, you can flame Microsoft all you want, but how many Linux distros are there? I know it's slightly off-topic and borderline trolling, but the whole "year of the linux desktop" is hampered by "linux" being a balloon term these days.

Thank you!

I wish I had mod points right now to mod you up.

There currently two schools of thought on how the financial markets work, basically the market is either efficient or inefficient. By saying that "Market cap is speculative bullshit" you are implying that you believe that the market is inefficient. Saying that "Anyone with a brain (ok, it takes perhaps a bit more than just half) knows that the stock market, as an entity, is an idiot." classifies everyone that believes in the efficient market hypothesis as an idiot.

Ever heard of Burton Malkiel? I highly doubt that most educated people would call him an idiot. Even Warren Buffet who does not believe that markets are currently efficient highly respects him and his theories of market efficiency.

The debate of whether markets are efficient or not has been going on for quite some time and there has been NO CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE to prove that either side is "bullshit" as you say.

Unless of course in your in you infinite wisdom you have information that everyone else doesn't know. If so, please do share. Otherwise, please stop jumping to conclusions that people are idiots.

I agree with you. Has everyone forgotten the MOAB project last year?

This was a brief insight into what could be accomplished if a group of people really wanted to put forward the effort to uncover vulnerabilities. It has been argued that some of the vulnerabilities could be further enhanced and developed into malware. If there was a good enough monetary incentive to target Macs, it will be done. Currently malware witters target windows because the market share provides a more efficient monetary return on the time they invest. It would be foolish to think that the brightest malware writers (the real ones that actually develop new malware as opposed to script kiddies) are any different from the best software developers - they make efficient use of their time.
