Actually, Air Marshalls carry the .357 SIG, a round that was chosen for its higher penetration than more standard 9mm or .40 SW rounds. The reason a round with better penetration was desired is that it is likely they will have to shoot through a seat and the fact that, despite what Hollywood says, shooting a window on a passenger jet will not explosively decompress the plane and cause people to get sucked out like they are in outer space.

Now add all the necessary safety equipment and let us know how comfortably it reaches 150km/h and what the efficiency drops to. Cars are much heavier than they were 25 years ago and therefore need more power to maintain a similar level of driveability. Those electronics are what allow a more powerful, heavier, much safer car achieve emission levels drastically below the 25 year old version.

There are two electric companies in the Metro Phoenix area, SRP and APS. You are correct that last year APS wanted a connection charge but only got a fraction of what they wanted, around $5 per month. However, SRP is not required to get outside approval for rate changes like APS is and just introduced an additional $50 per month connection charge for customers with solar. Now APS has once again submitted a request for an increased connection charge and was able to get an additional $21 per month charge approved. I was in the process of putting solar on my home and had signed a contract when this new charge was announced. Luckily, I was still within the 3 day cancellation window and was able to back out.

United States Begins Flying Stealth Bombers Over South Korea 567

skade88 writes "The New York Times is reporting that the United States has started flying B-2 stealth bomber runs over South Korea as a show of force to North Korea. The bombers flew 6,500 miles to bomb a South Korean island with mock explosives. Earlier this month the U.S. Military ran mock B-52 bombing runs over the same South Korean island. The U.S. military says it shows that it can execute precision bombing runs at will with little notice needed. The U.S. also reaffirmed their commitment to protecting its allies in the region. The North Koreans have been making threats to turn South Korea into a sea of fire. North Korea has also made threats claiming they will nuke the United States' mainland."
