Wasn't this attempted before? I don't have the link off the top of my head, but hasn't the so-called "Minority Report computer" been made and then shunned because the average american user's arms would get tired after a marathon computing session?
Of course, anything's possible. Look at the Nintendo Wii. That gets people to wave their hands for hours on end, and folks seem dandy with it.
