Damn... I hadn't realised I've been using it around this long too... Looking at the other comments and the fact it's using less than 50mb of ram here, pretty sure we're on to something

I used to have it on in the background for many hours a every day, ever since the first round when I couldn't get blocking working again within a couple of days I just stopped - I've watched maybe three videos on there since...
Mine you, I'm someone who blocks and reports every advert and advertiser that i see on IG and FB (and FB doesn't even try to show them to me any more, even on mobile). Fraudulent business practices (the entire advertising industry) just make for a bad taste. No, I have no interest in anything that you might want to advertise, and never will - in fact I've gone as far as cancelling a purchase worth several thousand pounds (gbp) because I they tried advertising without my consent (yay GDPR!)
Pretty much the same here. I've got home automation that runs via Homebridge on a docker server - and uses the AppleTV as the hub, and the only media I watch is via Plex - which is pretty much the only App I ever use on it (almost everything else is sent from the iPhones / iPads). I run Windows PCs (have a MBP for work, and it's really not a serious piece of kit) - and I can even mirror from that easily...
The biggest thing to me is the TV remote - I simply don't want to ever need it (and not quite sure where it is now) - having a really simple and small remote that does everything needed except for turning the TV on/off is really nice. I've tried most of the other boxes, and quite frankly they all either have a huge number of absolutely useless buttons, or no remote at all (I'm looking at you Chromecast - no casual watching TV with it!).
Easy start / stop, with easy navigation, and connected to the home automation so it dims the lights in the same room while playing and brings them up when paused / stopped.
I might not be using it for the things they'd like me to - but it does the job that none of the others can do, and does it well.
Even after uninstalling Flash several times and deleting the folder, somehow the updater still wanted to install Flash again... I've not used it in many years, but once installed it's like a nasty virus that you just can't get rid of.
I work for an autonomous vehicle *software* company in the UK, and we actually have some of the devs that worked on GTA V working in some of our teams
