The original C&C by Westwood had an AWESOME story line...with Michael Biehn, James Earl Jones & Kari Wuhrer in some of the title roles.
...harvested all the Tiberium on my server
Didn't even know they were still around.
Star Wars is a western, Trek is an old WWII Navy saga. The captain goes down with his ship and stops the invasion/attack by the enemy fleet (in this case one massive powerful ship).
While I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, I've always though employing time travel in any plot was a bit of a Sci-fi cop-out...unless it's crucial to the story (e.g. Terminator).

One potato, two potato, three potato, four...
The only drawback to this system is after 7 you jump to infinity (e.g. 7 potato, more).
...grade. An XP "downgrade" can only be purchased with a Business or Ultimate version of Vista. So if a customer is looking at a configure-to-order laptop such as with Dell or Lenovo, then in many cases customers have to upgrade their OS from Home Basic or Home Premium in order to get the XP downgrade option.
Is this charging more for XP...in many people's minds, yes. But legally (Full disclosure: IANAL), they are paying for the Vista upgrade, not for the XP downgrade.
Everything in an Apple (aside from the OS/software) is basically the same as what's in any windows PC. In fact, in some cases, Apple uses older/inferior components. The SSD in their Air laptop is a generation older than the SSDs in the Thinkpad X300.
It seems pretty clear that they are charging a premium for the CTO service, and not really charging more for the parts. The factory install is what you're paying for.
