All the software I use on my desktop is opensource and nearly all of our servers are open source. Of course our billing system and helpdesk systems are home grown and proprietary. When I hired in, I was given the choice of what tools I wanted to use for my desktop, and it just so happened that I chose an open source solution because it makings logging into a server really easy.
