I hadn't visited the Dialectizer in a while, so I tried it out on my dixie-chicks.com site.

Check it out: it's better this way!

I tried to fit the long URL in my .sig, but the best I could do was link to a journal entry. 120 characters my Aunt Lucy's butt. (Disclaimer: I have no aunt named Lucy)

I agree, but there's always the fear that there will be a certain goat- or tub-related link at the other end of the redirect! I don't click TinyURL links at work unless they've drawn responses proving them to be safe.

My favorite short-link redirect, incidentally, is the (much longer) MakeAShorterLink.com [makeashorterlink.com] -- partly because I found them first, but also because they have a caution page before you're redirected.

Dialectizer Insensitive?

Some people might call it insensitive but I think it is funny. The Dialectizer has Sensitive Claude's seal of sensitivity.

I just wish that it would work on www.drlaura.com.
Nope, I take that back, it works. I just had to put in http://www.drlaura.com/main/ instead of the root directory.

I was just pessemistic because a few years ago I tried to view Dr. Laura's site in Zippy the Pinhead Meta-HTML and couldn't get it to work.

hmmmm.... It looks like the "Hacker" they are translating it into is B1FF.

Excellent link! "Redneck" came out particularly well in translating the "Dr. Laura's Call of the Day [rinkworks.com]" section:
