Pardon my rudeness: Save the I-word for situation that merit it, clown-face. I've spoken with multiple musicians about the subject. More than one are of the opinion that brass instruments are not wind instruments. "Wind instruments" is a contraction of "Woodwind instruments". Whether either group is correct or not doesn't change the fact that what they "KNOW" is just an "OPINION".
