Journal: Jumping pages causing comment loss

If there is a single upgrade / fix that I'd like to see in Slashdot, it is to stop the page jumping that occurs when you hit submit.

I have often written long comments, submitted them, and then gone back later to find that they are gone. I believe this is because I failed to confirm the submission. The reason for that is that neither the comment nor its pending confirmation was in front of my eyes after the initial submission. So there was no reminder.

Needless to say, it is very frustrating to spend time writing a thoughtful comment and lose it entirely.
