I don't know. It's been a lot of years and I don't see the guy getting prosecuted like Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein. How can being a sexual predator be true if all these other high profile people went down for it, but he didn't? I know how people can be, and I'm sure he repulsed people and always seemed like the creepy old guy and out of place in lots of ways, but I also understand autistic people, and the more pieces of the proverbial autism pie they have, the less likely they are to know about social interactions and to mature socially. Neurotypicals don't usually know how to correct/redirect and autistic person from what we consider to be inappropriate, and I don't imagine anyone ever tried with him. I think he genuinely didn't know what he was doing was making anyone uncomfortable or even bordered on inappropriate. Autistic people often have age blindness as well and have friends/acquaintances decades older/younger than themselves. It doesn't occur to them there is an "appropriateness" of age - especially if someone shares their special interest(s). Conversely, they can also seem indescribably intelligent and it is hard for neurotypical folks to really wrap their heads around intellect or extreme smarts in a VERY narrow subject area could co-exist with virtually no self care or socialisation skills as we know them. Anyway, it sounds LOTS more complex than "he's a sexual predator". I don't think the guy has even ever had an intimate partner - either short or long term. I mean, he's almost 80 and never married or partnered up at all, right? I mean that's pretty autistic - to use a vulgar expression.
