What they're doing is giving out what seems like a high number (250GB) & figuring that most casual users will think "Oh, that's not so bad," when they finally check & see they're nowhere near it. What'll happen will be like the poster that started this mini-thread (Raintree): By adding VoIP, streaming music, & online on-demand video, his usage doubled. It'll jump again as more & more legal content is available. The point's going to come when even the average user will be scraping up against that cap- probably in just 2 years- because of streaming video & VoIP.
You may not use it now, but you will, and sooner than you think.
