Bad. I think that each city, town, neighborhood, whatever should be able to make whatever rules they want on the subject. I like the inexpensive stays and potential side income from AirB&B, but living in an area with them can really suck because you get can get stuck with a different shitty neighbor every few nights. not to mention the fact that that additional income can contribute to the inflation of the real-estate in an area. I think any sweeping regulation on the issue would be heavy-handed, the determination of if it should be permitted should be determined individually in each area, by the people who live in that area.

After dealing with the Wii and 3DS and the Nintendo account system I don't intend to buy a new Nintendo system till they get that figured out. Having to spend 2 hours with customer support to transfer my account from my old 3DS to a New 3DS is not an experience I'm looking to repeat ever. They need to follow catch up with Steam, PSN, and XBL, and make that easier before I'd even consider them again.

I have to disagree. You are right when looking at a tech-literate consumer, but most consumers are not tech-literate. I can not tell you how many people i have had to deal with back when i was in IT that just wanted a shiny rectangle to check facebook and email. These people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between an i7 and core m, because they never use more than a core m's worth of power.
