Used btrfs for / and it was good, until one day it was unbootable due to errors. Wasn't able to fix it, had to format and reinstall. Lucky I didn't trust it enough for /home... Using ext4 now. Very slightly slower but at least I know I can fsk it.

I didn't know what a catenary was until today.
I'd worked out it would be similar to two right angled triangles so did the upper bound part. I wouldn't have thought of the lower bound and mid value part of it though. So my answer was too big :(

What a load of absolute shit. I switched to nouveau since I didn't like getting warning messages from wine when using the nvidia driver. Both work perfectly well however.

I have to restart my piece of shit w10 work tablet several times a day because it freezes or otherwise fucks up, the company db app crashes often. When there are updates it fucks up even though they've been tested by the IT dept.

Meanwhile my battered old refurbished laptop with Arch Linux chugs along quite happily, when I installed Arch it automatically selected the correct graphics driver to use. If one hadn't been available it would have used a lower level driver, still perfectly functional, just less featured. Oh wait, that's what Windows does too!

Nobody has to compile a custom kernel so that their graphics card drivers can install themselves. You don't need a PhD if you do re-compile, just patience and enough brains to follow some guides.
