Very few shows, movies, games etc. feature LGBTQ characters that aren't blatantly shoehorned in, exist to be the token gay, fan service of some kind, or just an offensive stereotype. I'm bisexual and I think when a character exists just to be gay it is pandering at best. Media portrayals of LGBTQ people, real or fictional, are generally not representative of the community as a whole and often "other" us more than anything.

It is an excess of fat or sugar. I'm sure all of the processing and additives don't help, but at the end of the day cardiology surgery patient guy and diabetic gangrene guy got their health problems from too much fat and sugar, respectively. I would tell the full stories of them and their orders but I doubt anyone would believe me since they are such extreme examples.

I would absolutely love a color e-ink tablet. I remember seeing one about ten years ago that could do 20 FPS grayscale or 12 FPS color. If they can manage 20 FPS in color these days that seems good enough for animated menus and some videos without a ton of fast movement. Since the article doesn't state the actual refresh rate I won't get my hopes up too high though.

As someone that worked in fast food long enough to see what it does to the customers I can tell you plenty of people eat themselves into an early grave without eating very much sugar. I have seen just as many heart surgery patients from the cardiology ward next to one such job, many not even fat, as I have people with diabetic gangrene or health problems likely from uncontrolled diabetes. What these customers order never leaves a shred of doubt about how they ended up with such problems.

I don't even have an electric car, yet I am able to keep up with cars just fine on the electric bicycle I ride to work. If I can get to work with batteries and an electric motor there is no excuse for a gas leafblower. The electric leafblower we had growing up was as strong as any gas leafblower, just needed an extension cord.

I switched to linux as a full-time daily driver a decade ago, from windows 7. I only touch windows on the work computer. First time I used the win10 computer at work I went "eww windows, where is the desktop?" Since I don't play any modern AAA titles that only work on windows my windows partition for gaming has been collecting dust for years, and will probably be gone when I upgrade my hard drive. Around the time I switched I also put lubuntu on my mom's laptop. She loved it. Much faster than win7 on her little netbook, and I never had to help her with anything where she wouldn't need help on windows anyway. If my mom can use linux, you can too.
