My favorite "last words" from a vegetarian was during a Dungeons and Dragons session.
I was DM and told them they were in this cave inhabited by 8 foot living and talking mushrooms.
When the party approached them, the smart guy of the party wanted to negotiate with the giant mushies.
He said to them: "Don't worry I'm a vegetarian!"
