There was never any fall in consumer price. Also, prices for wholesale passed onto the consumer have gone down 2-3 times in the last 20 years, but the other 17-18 years they've gone up.

The French have quite a good pension - up to 50% of your average highest paying 25 years of work. A massive top end of 39000 per year.
Spain is 900 euro per month and is claimable just before 61 years of age.

Nearly all public sectors are on strike as they've had pay freezes and personnel cuts for 12 years
Ironically, the government has given more money to the private firms to offset losses caused by strikes, far in excess of what paying the people would cost
The NHS is broken, and brexit along with policy changes (nurses bursary, etc) has meant there are thousands of holes to fill for personnel
Almost daily scandals of corruption and dumping taxpayers money to their friends has caused even the most stupidest to realise that its actually the government in charge at fault, in spite of the media spin

It's all nonsense to deflect the current crisis' in the NHS, rail, etc.
When more than 50% of the papers are crowing about how is going to "fix" things (but not how or when), you know it's the usual news cycle reset:
1. Halve inflation
2. Grow the economy
3. Reduce debt
4. Cut NHS waiting lists
5. Stop migrant boats.

These points all contradict themselves. Spend more while reducing debt? The tories equate grow the economy with tax breaks for the rich, so that will do zero for that. I'd also like to see how they plan to cut spending while needing to increase it to stop the various sectors striking?
Again, the media needs to point out these fallacies, not present them as the government is doing a good job. It's ridiculous. This shower has literally spent more money propping up the railway franchises than actually giving the rail workers the payrise they need.

The UK needs to vote in a party that will basically kill off the newspapers, as the older generations need to stop thinking that something in newsprint is the truth as they "aren't allowed" to print falsehood. They also need to fix the BBC to stop being "neutral" and start being "pro truth", and perhaps only having people in leadership and politics which aren't retired or actually active tories.
