Ok...He makes 75K as a developer. He has 3 pieces of furniture. He will only buy the same types of clothes, but only after somebody points out when the old clothes are worn out. He has never dated. He never knows if he is being too loud. He alternates between inappropriate staring and no eye contact. He usually eats carry out and seems to prefer restaurants where the wait staff use English as a second language. You have to be blunt when speaking to him. He is emotionally/socially around the age of oh...a 14-15 year old. He doesn't give a shit about how he looks...ever. He never turns the light on in his office and sleeps about 8 out of every 72 hours.
I'm not autistic.
I didn't say you were! Goodness.
You might like to know, people have carried on living under the wrong diagnosis. Psychiartry and psychology are still somewhat inexact arts/sciences. Some adults I've met discovered information about autism and asperger's after years of crippling phobias, cruel social disasters, or lives pronounced underachievement, and feel great relief. There is a reason for all they had been struggling with. It puts everything into focus.
Are you maybe feeling a little relieved? Like there is some explaination you've been searching for and are afraid to admit?
