My guess is that people don't demand those features because they're an improvement. They demand them because it's some sort of a flex, which is the main reason people buy the BMW badge.

As such, they all go and try to buy shares before they spike too much, looking to sell them sometime in the future for $800 a share.

Have enough of these people trying to buy these shares and you'll have the share price run away on you.

Has anything changed? I mean, yes. Microsoft is signaling that the tech/AI trade is still on. All the people that exited the market in the past few weeks, all the billions that evaporated, suddenly came back. And the vast majority of other tech companies skyrocketed as a result.
