Comment As I sit in my 5th grade class. (Score 1) 320

We had just gotten for the first time a TV system that all classes could be fed news and information. Watching the Challenger make its way to space was one of the first broadcasts to test our new system. The room was silent as we watched the ship make its way into the sky. When the explosion occurred, we looked at each other in disbelief wondering if we were watching was actually live TV. When the teacher left the classroom weeping to join other teachers in the hall, we realized that indeed this was real.

If you look through a telescope at a mirror 1 light year away that is pointed back at the location you are standing. Would you see yourself, or would you see what was happening 2 years ago in that exact spot? If Bob was on a ship that is 1 light year long moving 3/4 the speed of light in reference to a stationary object and Sally launched her ship off of Bobs ship and has achieved 3/4 the speed of light in reference to Bob's ship. Then Billy launched from Sally's ship and was moving 1/4 the speed of light in reference to Sally's Ship. How fast is Billy moving in reference to the stationary object?

Why oh why cant they just make the OS switch to Metro interface when in tablet mode and back to the old desktop style when using the computer as a desktop pc. Spend the money developing a seamless interface swap for that. It will allow people to get there toes wet to test the water instead of drowning them in the ocean of metro. A good idea is only good of we can adopt it at our own pace without disrupting our personal productivity.

Four years ago that would be true, but today lines are starting to blur. Very few of the customers I worked with was concerned weather it was windows or not, they were concerned at the fact they could not do what it was they were trying to do with there computer. The same old people you talk about will not so much ask if windows is on it, they will look at the computer screen and say, "Gosh it looks just like my one at home! I know how to use this." . They wont care if it Windows, Google, Linux, or fuzzy wuzzles. All that will matter to them is that they know how to use it, and thanks to all the other operating systems out there that are looking more and more like each other that line will blur more and more.

Have you every raised cattle? OMG they are dumber than a stump. The only sign of any brains I saw was when they played king of the hill with the hay and cow pie mountain we scraped up once a week to spread on the field. Hmm, maybe it was all there methane production making them dumb. Not enough oxygen to function.

Programming can be used to teach spelling and especially math. Programming is one of the things that gave me the desire to be a better mathematician. I knew I needed math skills to do the (cool) things I wanted to do on a computer. As for English, try writing a program interface, help files, or errors with out writing skills. I am not saying it is the solution, but it defiantly can be a motivational vehicle.

I found it amazing and eye opening when i looked at a vibrations book and noticed the same basic equations as in my fields and waves class. That is when it hit me. Its all the same stuff! Why wouldn't it act in a similar manner. With that thought in mind, and with everyone talking about reality and thought. I would like to play with a thought experiment. Look at the similarities between thought that generates physical behavior and quantum physics. In my mind I can be anywhere and nowhere at once. Time distorts when in deep thought. Human nature can be as complex as anything I have ever experienced and can only be governed through probability. (if you don't believe me get married and have kids) I do not know if this has any real meaning, but getting out of the box once and a while is helpful.

Here is the Russian translation according to google translate. And unprecedented case. Seemingly abandoned spaceship on the streets of Moscow - it is something from the realm of fantasy. But alas, this is the true reality. Correspondent "MK" discovered orbiting Soviet "Buran" play like garbage on the outskirts of the capital. Nobody cares what was once a symbol of cosmic power of our country. Natalia Muschinkina Views: 41,285
