Hate is a rather strong word, lol. "Extremely disappointed" will suffice.
Apparently, putting oneself in other's shoes, & drawing insight & compassion from that, is no longer possible for many folks these days, so barring that....one can only hope that unfortunate circumstances propels these unsympathetic douches to join the ranks of the homeless, whereby they may obtain enlightenment on the subject.

Substance abuse & mental illness are largely the *RESULT* of being unhoused, *NOT* the cause.

Don't believe it? Go live in the streets for a month or so with little to no money or services & let's see how you're doing after 60 days or so. You'll no doubt be drinking & crapping in the streets too, lol, what with the lack of public bathroom facilities these days in most every city in the nation. By design, no less.

Housing as a commodity needs to end, as it drives homelessness...both by institutional investors buying up available stock to profit on the market, & by homeowners treating their home as an asset investment. Both are bad & cause NIMBYism & ferment strife.

Tenant/landlord laws need to be changed to outlaw the current 3/30 day 'Notice To Quit' that enables landlords to toss tenants out on the street for any made up reason they conjure up. The new minimum should be a 90 day notice unless the landlord pays 100% of tenant's moving costs.

Some easy fixes to current laws & practices can quickly ease the current homelessness crisis.
Be careful what you wish for, however, in your ignorant zeal to outlaw homelessness, as most folks are just one major medical emergency away from joining their ranks....insured or not, lol.

1/100th (what Spotify currently pays all but the top tier artists per stream), or even 3/100ths per stream, isn't a living artist wage, & is akin to about $.10 per hour, lol. How would you like to make $.10 per hour because coders can be cheaply hired remotely in foreign countries that will take that wage? Lol...Yeah, you wouldn't like that, huh.

Musicians need a minimum of $.01 - $.05 per stream to live on. Spotify just reported $12.4 BILLION in 2022 revenue...so who is fooling whom...the money is there already, it's just going to the music industry leeches instead of artists currently.

The $.99 per song Apple model was a start....but was usurped by essentially 24/7/365 free streaming. People need to pay for their music at a fair rate just like they pay for cable TV or any other 'luxury' service...or don't & do without, lol. Newsflash: Artists need to be paid for their work...& the streaming free ride for music listening needs to end, pronto.

This is simple. Just pay artists. And stop stealing content, in this case music, fot your own profit. Hey, here's a thought... How's about we make it legal to steal software code for your own profit? Don't like that much, huh? Neither do artists. Duh.

'For', not 'fot'. My bad. And.... First Post!!!! Lol.
