One of the cool things with this is that you could set it so that it actually starts SSH or the FTP daemon or whatever as well as open up the firewall on the appropriate port and shut it down again after.
Saves mem usage as well as being that teensy bit more secure!
Also in answer to post further up - WinXP's firewall can log dropped packets to a text file.
