ProlificSage's Journal: Giving up caffeine

I must be nuts. I'm attempting to give up caffeine. Tried yesterday to go cold turkey and had a horrible dull headache for most of the day, so I had a slug of Mountain Dew before bed.

This morning, I had my usual first cup of coffee, but I'm trying to avoid having the three or four more that I usually do. Maybe it won't be so painful if I wean myself off slowly. So far, so good. We'll see what happens later in the day.

The headache is back

Guess I'm going to have to break down and have that second cup of coffee. I must be a glutton for punishment or something.

Well, the headache's gone now, thanks to the 2nd cup of coffee. I think I'll try and keep it down to two cups a day for a little while, and then try going down to one, gradually.
