Because he's pandering to them with a list of Free! Stuff! that they'll get, and we'll make some demonized other ("rich," "billionaires," "Wall Street speculators," "the 1%") pay for it all.

Sounds great and all. Who doesn't like free stuff. Kind of like getting Mexico to pay for that wall, or China to pay for the tariffs.

Until you realize two things.

First, that the "other" doesn't exist -- that Wall Street speculator tax is going to go after anyone making stock or bond purchases, which coincidentally is mostly institutional investors like pension and 401k funds. Surprise! you get to wonder if you'll have to eat cat food in your elder years because you were relying on your pension income, and its use of ETF and Mutual Funds meant that every trade to optimize return suddenly deducted 0.5% of the realized value.

Second, that for this to be real, he needs the legislature on board, and if no one's risking their political careers to address Social Security today, think how they're react to the proposal to harvest $4T from everyone's retirement accounts.

Which cuts to the heart of the problem.

The Warren and Sanders platforms are "free everything, and someone you don't like is forced to pay for it." How is that any different from Mexico paying for a border wall? Let me save you the effort, it isn't.

I mean honestly, Bernie is Trump's lost twin. Instead of Mexico paying for everything, it's "the Rich" or "the speculators" or "the billionaire" class.

As a side note, the 'tax on Wall Street speculation' that he claims will cover M4A? That's a tax on you every time you top off your 401k out of your paycheck. Or when the mutual fund or ETF fund you're investing in for your retirement rebalances. He's targeting extracting $4T from your retirement savings for his program.

The moderates, who might actually be able to achieve restoring some sanity to the government, are sidelined because of the Warren and BernieBros and their righteous endeavor. All the millennial socialists thinking this is the end of capitalism - wow are they about to have a rude shock. Even if Bernie was to win, there's no way that the legislature would get behind this spending plan. And there's a very high chance that the reaction will be so bad that both the house and senate go blue.

Well, guess I better resolve myself to another 4 years of TrumpleThinSkin and PrayTheGayAway Pence. Thanks BernieBros. See you in hell.

wow, apples and oranges much?

Are you talking about income taxes, or wealth taxes?

If wealth taxes, so... you're going to seize the holdings of Bezos, Gates, and Buffett, liquidate them and put them to use for the country? Ok, so... that's still not 16T. Also, given you've effectively nationalized then sold off Microsoft, Amazon, and Dairy Queen (among many many others), what's next since you didn't get 16T? Go to the next tier of wealth?

The top 1% of income earners are already paying more than the bottom 90%. you need to get you head out of your ass. There's no 'fair share' argument here.
