In some distant future, as life evolves on distant worlds, WE would be the advanced civilization! Visiting in our "Flying saucers", and studying primitive cultures who where only at that point learning the sciences that we ourselves understand today. So let's prepare for that future and advance anal probe tech as fast as we can! I can think of a dozen companies that already have the research underway.

May be mod'ed as "Funny" but It makes sense based on the VGA spec, RAM and Hard drive size; I think they are talking about a 486. Should that be that case then I really wonder: Why bother? This poster doesn't really give any indication toward their objective. Is it educational, Hobby, or what? Bloated? Is 3 Gig HD and 128 MB ram really an issue these days?

It's built into Windows and most Linux distros, has been for many years. What the author would like to see as a widespread (common built in) technology is in fact just that. Off topic and part of a larger /. Issue: I have seen more and more poorly written, not news worthy stories making it to the front page of /. My question is: Is this trend a result of /. Moderators or readers?
