They've basically confirmed to everybody that didn't buy it that they were right. I'm not sure how they can do this and then expect the Magic Leap 2 to sell any better. Oh, and the Magic Leap 2 is nearing release if what I read was right.
The feature already exists in another but fairly easy place to get to. Just Win+G gives you these controls for gamers.
You know you're hated when a biggest players in the industry that keeps you alive wants you dead. Maybe if they played a little nicer it wouldn't have been as bad?
Yes, but they disabled a feature of a browser they didn't provide not a feature they created and provided. Their own YouTube app doesn't even support the feature. It was more work for them to disable it than to allow customers to use it.
Just looking at the introduction I swear it's just Microsoft Access in the cloud. Microsoft Access was a disaster and I'm confident this won't be much different.
You can take any numbers reported by any agency in the world and none of them agree with this idea that only 0.4% of people with symptoms will die. The math doesn't add up. Besides, this number isn't really the one that matters anyway. What matters is the rate of hospitalizations. If the hospitals are not overflowing they can deal with most cases. Once they are overflowing or brought to capacity the death rate skyrockets. So, the goals should always be to protect the hospitals first. We've seen in other countries and to some extent in our own what happens when it goes uncontrolled.
I know for a fact that the CDC has ideas that do not match with Trump's. If you look just at their Facebook page from a couple weeks ago they were making posts about how it was dangerous to have indoor services at places of worship. Since Trump has come out and said he wants to reopen them the CDC has removed all material from their Facebook page that makes references otherwise. This is clearly a politically lead CDC and science doesn't matter anymore.
This doesn't make sense if you look at any of the numbers from anywhere in the world. They have retracted their recommendations that were just available two or three weeks ago in favor of repeating what Trump is saying and what Trump wants. At this point I no longer trust that anything they say is based on science and fully believe what they're saying to be primarily politically influenced.
To be fair many states are reopening and even before they hit the guidelines provided by Trump and the CDC a couple weeks back. In a lot of cases it seems to be working with numbers remaining steady. Many places are taking things cautiously and leaving open the option to go back a step or two if needed. The goal is, or at least has been for my state, to ensure that the hospitals aren't being overloaded. Overloaded hospitals mean that people are dying that don't need to. We've succeeded so far. I don't think it's wise to open everything up at once and let things go totally back to normal but there does need to be a balance. If we stay closed too long the government will go broke.
Due to having less commute I feel like spending more time on projects at work and I have more time to spend on my personal or freelance projects. I'm enjoying working from home. Developers at home is a great idea but I doubt this will change much at most companies.
