What the hell! Have all of the US hackers succumbed to death by mountain dew? Has all of the young talent gone to Russia + China?

I worked for Filefront as a newsie and then the news manager/editor (2004-2006) and generally enjoyed my time there. I got to assemble my own staff, the guy running all of the files in the background was always top notch and we always managed to get the latest demo files pretty quick. I'm really glad they're not closing, there are so many files and so many MODs hosted there, it would of been a real hit to the gaming community if they closed their doors.

I was the "executive news editor" at Filefront from 2004-2006. Everything went as well as it could, I had a 19 year old boss and upper management I'd never met. Covering E3 2004 was a blast though, watching my PR manager get totally pwned by Fata1ity in UT was a treat.

They don't want it because they don't understand it. If they knew that broadband would bring them quicker load times, HD video, video communications and more, they'd be all for it. Of course, it's also just a faster path for all of that spyware/adware grandma keeps accumulating on her computer. I say fsck them, wtf do they know, we need better broadband penetration and we need it now. I'm a musician's son, my dad is a musician and has watched his royalties go to other people, his works sold without his permission and all sorts of bullshit from these people. I'm not surprised in the slightest.
