Who said you'd have a good internet connexion (or any connexion at all) on the other side of the border?
If you were mitbeaver (he Asked Slashdot yesterday: "Best Laptop for Going Around the World?"), you certainly wouldn't rely on teh internet or worse on the submarine cables heading home.
