I am so tired of the learned intelligentsia always looking for the next disaster that will "wipe out mankind" all for the sake of extorting grants from people or governments for research. If its not asteroids narrowly missing the planet (by a few 100k miles), to super Volcanoes that are LONG over due for an eruption, to CME's the likes of which even God has never seen before, to manmade global warming that has done little but make Al Gore the richest LIAR in history. Its amazing that we have all these "problems" and yet still somehow as a planet we always thrive. Why not focus on that for awhile?
