Journal Paul E. Loeb's Journal: Registry takes aim at online predators

Portcard.net is a social networking registry that protects children against predators who currently exploit social networking sites by removing the total anonymity of the Internet. Portcard.net authenticates the identity of the person behind a username and stores that information in the event there is a need to identify a particular registered user to law enforcement. Portcard.net recently partnered with the national Boys and Girls Clubs of America and has a kickoff event this Saturday, September 15th at 5 locations across the US. In addition, Portcard is fully integrated with Facebook using the Facebook Platform API.
