I don't see any ads when hitting the window button on Ubuntu. It's solid for developing, and I generally have more time for doing that than customizing an OS.
The high hospitalization rate is the key, though. Makes it impractical to pursue herd immunity (the only way out beside a vaccine) by letting CV run its course.
On that reproductive number, I get that number indicates extreme contagiousness. But isn't it the prevalent theory that the initial amount (infections dose) helps determine severity (as it does with flu and most other viruses)? And "close, confined exposure" seems to be a common factor in the "super spreader" anecdotes I've seen.
Conspicuously missing from this article were any metrics of the program's efficacy, e.g. with national standardized tests.
My guess is it's going to work very well for kids who want to succeed, and are self-directed.
.... I do mindfulness meditation. It helps relieve stress, to learn the physical precursors of your triggers and fight off the reactions to them. I generally do it late in the day, for the specific purpose of de-compressing, relaxing, at a time when I don't necessarily need to be motivated.
Facebook and Google could stop a lot of this. They don't want to identify some content as misinformation/fake because they would lose users that way. All about the bottom line.
